Electronic toll collection devices

Electronic toll collection is a service that offers several advantages to users, both for those who travel regularly and occasionally on the motorway network:

  • time saving: thanks to lanes with the T label reserved for electronic toll collection, queues and slowdowns due to longer traditional payment times are avoided;
  • deferred payment: toll collection is carried out automatically through periodic billing. If correctly positioned on the windshield, the electronic toll collection device is automatically detected at the entrance and exit of the motorway, without the driver having to perform any operation;
  • possible savings for special categories of users (such as motorcycles);
  • payment in multiple European countries with a single SET device.

Credit, Debit, ATM cards and prepaid cards

At the lanes with signage marked by the presence of 3 cards (Viacard plus 2 other generic ones) on a blue background, it is possible to pay the toll without additional costs with:

  • Credit Cards belonging to Visa, Mastercard and American Express networks without entering the PIN code
  • ATM/Debit Cards belonging to the Fast Pay, Maestro and Vpay networks without entering the PIN code
  • Viacard (prepaid and current account).
